Two men have been arrested in connection to a road rage incident after a man was spotted riding on the hood of an SUV on the Massachusetts Turnpike, according to authorities.
Massachusetts State Police on Friday said they received multiple calls about a man who was laying across the hood of a white Infiniti QX70 on Route 90 Westbound in Weston around 4:45 p.m.
NBC 10 Boston obtained exclusive footage of the man, later identified as 65-year-old Richard Kamroski, of Framingham, on the SUV.
Video shows Kamroski grasping the hood of the SUV. The windshield appeared to be damaged.
State police said an initial investigation revealed that the men were involved in a minor sideswipe crash.
“At some point, one of the men ended up on the hood of the SUV,” state police said. “The SUV then traveled at speeds up to 70 MPH, stopping and then accelerating again when the man on the hood did not get off.”
While Kamroski was charged with disorderly conduct, 37-year-old Mark Fitzgerald, of Lynn, who was driving the SUV, was charged with assault with a dangerous weapon, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and leaving the scene of a property damage accident.
State police said several citizens “had managed to get the SUV to stop without injuries.”
