The Oscars are just 20 days away, and that means we finally get to see Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga perform “Shallow” from A Star Is Born, again. Calling it now, this will be the best part of the show. Bradley definitely knows what kind of pressure he’s under (the price of being talented), and he just shared that he’s absolutely nervous about the whole thing.
Since Bradley has continually stated that he is not a singer, just an incredibly gifted ~acteur~ with the ability to sing like an angel when he’s in character as Jackson Maine, the Oscars present a daunting task. Bradley will likely have to go out on the stage as himself and without a shaggy mane to hide behind to do the damn thing. According to B. Coop, that’s, like, the most nerve-wracking thing right now. He told E! News, “I’m sure I’ll be terrified.”
Luckily, he recently had some practice and performed the best original song contender with Gaga during one of her Vegas shows. Though, he said that was also terrifying. “I just had to zen out and just pray that I wasn’t gonna ruin her show. She just crushed it for two hours. I thought, ‘Please let me just be on pitch.'”
Honestly, even if the Oscars performance has half as many fist pumps as their Vegas duet did, it’ll be great.
